On June 16, Hurun Education released the Hurun Education Top International Schools in China 2022, a ranking of the best-regarded international schools in China. The ranking included the Hurun Education International Schools Accepting Chinese Passport Holders Top 100 and the Hurun Education International Schools Open to Non-Chinese Passport Holders Only Top 30.

The schools listed in the Hurun Education International Schools Accepting Chinese Passport Holders Top 100 come from 24 cities in China, aged 13 on average. Top 10 schools include:

Bright Scholar Announces Unaudited Financial Results for the Six Months of Fiscal 2022

On June 10, Bright Scholar Education Holdings Limited (NYSE: BEDU), a global premier education service company, announced its unaudited financial results for the six months of fiscal 2022 ended February 28, 2022. In the first half of fiscal year 2022, BEDU achieved a revenue of 874million yuan from continuing operations, a yearly increase of 21.4%; The net loss was 52.9 million yuan, while the net profit for the same period of the previous fiscal year was 149 million yuan.

At present, the continuing operations of BEDU include overseas schools, supplementary education services, domestic kindergartens and K12 operation services. Specifically, overseas school business contributed the largest part of revenues.

Number of College Graduates Reached a Record High This Year

The statistics from the Ministry of Education reflects that, the number of college graduates this year reaches 10.76 million, an increase of 1.67 million over the previous year. As the scale of graduates reaches a record high, it is particularly important to expand the employment channels and improve the matching efficiency in the talent market.

Nowadays, more and more graduates choose to take part in the postgraduate entrance exam, or the civil servant exam after graduation. In 2022, the number of candidates for postgraduate entrance exam reached 4.57 million, an increase of 800,000 compared with last year. The number of candidates who passed the civil servant exam was 2.213 million, with a yearly increase of 34.7%.

CDC Rescinds Order Requiring Negative COVID-19 Test Prior to Flight to the U.S.

CDC announced on June 10 that starting at 12:01AM ET on June 12, air passengers do not need to get tested and show the COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 prior to boarding a flight to the U.S. However, CDC still recommends passengers to receive Covid tests before departure, and suspend the travel if they feel unwell.

CDC continues to evaluate the latest science and state of the pandemic and will reassess the need for a testing requirement if the situation changes.
