ESL Teacher in Nanchang, China

Job Summary & Responsibilities

Amguang Education is looking for one or two ESL teachers for our International Program in Nanchang, China jointly run with Golden Hills School Division No. 75 and Anyi Senior High School.

Amguang is a Canadian leader in international education, and Golden Hills School Division No. 75 is a public school board in Alberta, Canada. Anyi Senior High School is a provincial key public school in Anyi, Nanchang City of China.

You will be teaching English speaking, writing, reading and Canadian culture courses to grade 10 or grade 11 students. Some of the students will choose to finish her/his grade 12 at Golden Hills School Division and receive the post-secondary education in North America.

Nanchang is the capital city of Jiangxi Province, China. With a population over 5 million and a history dated back to 2200 years ago, Nanchang is One of the Best Places for Living in China. Anyi Senior High School is only about 30 minutes to the downtown of Nanchang by car.  You can choose to live around Campus or live around downtown area.  To make your life in Nanchang easier, one dedicated English speaking Amguang staff in Nanchang will be your personal secretary and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This person will also help you learn Chinese if it is demanded.

Requirements

1.English native speaker (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, South Africa or NZ)

2. Bachelor's Degrees or above

3.Teaching experience is preferable

4.TEFL/TESOL/CELTA Certificate are preferable

5.Must be able to obtain a cleared background check

6.Positive attitude, reliable and honest

7.Start to work in Sept. 2018

Benefits

1.Our work week is 35 hours for 5 days with no less than 15 but no more than 20 teaching hours.

2.Monthly salary: 15,000-18,000 RMB with annual raise (based on performance and experience)

3.Airfare reimbursement: 6,000 RMB/year

4.Accommodation – 2,000RMB/month housing allowance, which has been very sufficient for staff to find suitable accommodations.  Housing in Nanchang is ample and very comfortable.

5. Meal Allowance –600RMB/month(The school has its own restaurant providing  three meals a day at very reasonable price)

6. Dental allowance—four visits per year, total at 2,000 RMB/year

7. Re-signing Bonus– 6,000RMB/year after first year (split into 2 payments in Oct. and May)

8. Work Permit, Residence Permit and medical check-up fees assistance and reimbursement

9.Medical and accident insurance

10.Full Orientation and ongoing assistance during the period of contract

11.Full assistance with settling into life of China

12.All payment will be made in RMB, but you can easily exchange to Canadian dollars

13.The exchange rate is about CAD$1 = RMB￥5. Most ESL teachers in China can save about 40 to 60 percent of their income.
