Full Time International Elementary School Teacher

School Description: Elementary international classes are part of a unique program that provides students with an American curriculum taught entirely in English. The focus and design of the classroom is to foster growth and creativity while teaching using American curriculum for English, math, science, and social studies. A strong emphasis on the English language and character building is at the heart our American curriculum. Students are encouraged to learn through exploration, inquiry, and imagination. When they are challenged in a positive instructional environment, the students demonstrate exceptional growth and offer great insight into the world around them.

Duties: Teaching elementary school, providing ESL/Reading Interventions during instruction.

The full-time Elementary school teacher will be responsible for all aspects of a classroom: planning and executing engaging lessons, working collaboratively with other staff members, grading and recording assignments, and managing student behavior, among other duties. The ideal candidate will have student-center approach to learning, high levels of flexibility, initiative and creativity, strong communication skills, and display a passion for global education. Classes are taught 100% in English. Bilingual teacher aids are assigned to each teacher.

Requirements

1.     Bachelors degree required.

2.     Professional educator license with appropriate endorsements preferred.

3.     ESL or Reading Specialist endorsement preferred, but not required.

4.     Applicants must be native English speakers.
