⚫ Further strengthen pupil transfer from Primary school to the Middle school, and from Middle school to Senior School
⚫ Further strengthen curriculum development to fashion a programme of studies that is both compliant with national standards and simultaneously prepares pupils for the approaches they will require when studying international transfer examinations later on
⚫ Lead teacher recruitment, retention, training and professional development within the above context
⚫ Work in harmony with the national and international Primary Principals and the national Secondary Principal to fashion and embed a K-12 pupil pathway' that is compliant, coherent, stretching and nurturing
⚫ Ensure Middle School pastoral matters are expertly managed, leading in the execution of the above whilst training and developing the national and international staff teams to ensure the students' needs are best met
⚫ Further the growth of the Middle School in all respects in a manner consistent with the educational philosophy of the Elite K-12 Group
The appointee would report to the National Principal (Secondary), but, depending on experience and qualifications would be given a high degree of autonomy in relation to their executive role.
The Secondary School currently comprises some 110+ students but is expected soon to grow to 200+ students. The Middle School comprises a significant portion of this student body. Some 20 or so national and international staff currently teach across the Secondary School.It is anticipated that candidates wishing to be considered for the role of Principal (Middle School) or Deputy Principal (Middle School) will:
➢ Be fully bilingual in Mandarin and English
➢ Possess (at least) a high standard first degree from a university of reputable standing
➢ Possess a recognised teacher training qualification that confers Professional Teacher
Status
➢ Educators with a minimum of 8 years' experience in a teaching/management role
➢ Have experience in a suitable management role
➢ Be able to show continuity of tenure within at least one organisation within which they
have exercised demonstrably proven leadership resulting in sustained systemic improvement
Additionally the successful appointee will be expected to meet all wider formal conditions of employment within the Elite K-12 Group of Schools and be a person of the integrity, drive, warmth and flexibility necessary to become a successful leader within our dynamic, rapidly growing and sector-leading organisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above;
- Teaching license required;
- At least 5 years of teaching experience required;
- English teaching positions require citizens of UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or South Africa for visa purposes.
