Overview
The Principal (Chinese) is part of the School’s
Leadership Team.
The Principal (Chinese) is the pedagogical and
organisational leader of the Chinese academic and support staff and their
related departments. Working with the
members of his/her Leadership Team, he or she is responsible to the Head of
School for the Learning Programme within their department.
As such, the Principal (Chinese) has
responsibility for the quality of the Chinese department’s teaching and
learning programmes, more specifically the Chinese National Curriculum (CNC)
and the professional practice of its staff. The Principal (Chinese) works as a member of the Leadership Team to
ensure unity of purpose and shared understandings within the school.
Principals/Vice Principals may take on some whole school
responsibility/projects.
The Principal (Chinese) is responsible for positively supporting school development within the context of the school’s strategic planning. Additionally, the Principal (Chinese) takes responsibility for ensuring that local government/bureau regulations related to teaching and learning are understood, implemented, documented and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Overseas studying background is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or above, majoring in early childhood education is a plus
- Must have over 1-year Kindergarten Principal experience
