Job Description

The Little Urban Center (LUC) Group, established in 2012, is a non-profit educational organization and a member school of COBIS(the Council of British International School). We focus on fostering children’s educational and social development, community involvement, and appreciation for cultures all over the world.

LUC Preschool offers classes for children aged 2-6, taught by teams of qualified foreign and local Chinese teachers in a bilingual learning environment. We boast a 6:1 student to teacher ratio, and a curriculum that values exploration and creativity. Our graduates are well prepared for Primary School.

The role of the Summer Camp Foreign Instructor is to:

-Act as an assistant to the lead counselor for camp programs and activities for an assigned group of campers

-Ability to prepare welcome session every morning, teach one English circle time and one thematic activity every day to assigned group of campers

-Support in other program sessions with your co-teachers

-Obey the LUC Child Safeguarding Policy and take responsibility regarding safety monitoring

-Participate in the preparation training for LUC Summer Camp

-Complete the lesson planning and record keeping required by LUC Summer Camp

Working Conditions are as follows:

-Summer Camp schedule: 9:00am to 3:00pm, 5 days a week, from June to August

-Working time: from 8:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday (including 30minutes lunch time), plus 1 hour planning time at 3-4pm on every Thursday. Instructors must arrive in the class at 8:30am every day
