About the employer

RISE provides subject-based, immersive English learning. There are eight centers in Suzhou, SND (Suzhou New District), SIP West, SIP East, and Downtown. There are more than 7,000 students currently studying in Suzhou RISE.

RISE provides a long term career paths for all of teachers, including foreign teachers. Therefore, there will be many opportunities to take up managing or training responsibilities at RISE. About Suzhou

The living expenses in Suzhou is lower than Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Nanjing. However, the living quality is above standard, and has both the traditional historical downtown features, and the modern high class features. The gardens, mountains, and temples in Suzhou are very well-known, giving the city the grand title of ‘The Venice of the East’.

The transportation is convenient and cheap. Metro journeys rarely cost your over 4 RMB, and taxi's start off price is cheaper than many other cities. With e-bikes being a popular investment, you can pretty much go anywhere in a short amount of time.

Traveling from Suzhou to anywhere else is not a big problem as well, since the nearest airport is only 30-40min car ride away in Wuxi airport. It also takes only 25-40min high speed train to get to Shanghai, around 1 hour 15 min to Nanjing, and 5 hours to Beijing. The restaurant choices you have in Suzhou pretty much covers cuisine from all over the world. Overall, Suzhou is an exquisite place to live in, and a great place to settle down!

Responsibilities

Providing reading and writing courses correlated to US Common Core State Standards
Delivering lessons for students from Pre-K to 12 in the age of 3 to 18-year-old
Maintaining 90% satisfaction rate from parents

Working hours

Working Hour: Wednesday – Friday: 13:30 – 20:30
Saturday and Sunday: 08:30-18:30
Day off: Monday and another day from Tuesday to Friday depending on class schedule

Requirements

Native English speaker from UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa
Bachelor’s degree or above
Meet one of the following requirements:

TEFL certificate 120 hours or above required (no “online” word on the certificate)
At least 2 years of teaching experience required
Fresh graduate majored in Education/English/Linguistics or relevant subjects

Highly responsible team player with hard working ethics

Benefits

Basic monthly salary: 14k/month - 23k/month (depending on qualification and experiences)
Year end bonus (first year: 6K; second year: 10K.)
Housing allowance: 2.5K - 3K/month
Meal allowance: 200/month
Over time allowance: 140/hour
10 days annual leave (could be arranged during the summer/winter vacation)
Sick leave: 80% salary
Work visa sponsorship
