The school has capacity to enrol 2,200 students from Kindergarten through Year 1 to Year 13 of the British (English National) curriculum. There will be 1,000 boarding places in the Senior School. The medium of instruction will be English, combining with a strong programme of Chinese Language and Culture. The planning for the founding year includes provision for selected year groups in the Junior and Senior Schools.
Shrewsbury Guangzhou is a purpose-built world class campus, located on a stunning riverfront site in the Nansha District. The school is in the geographic centre of the dynamic Greater Bay Area.

Position Summary:
The Teacher of Computing and IT Innovation is
either a foreign passport holder or a Chinese bi-
lingual teacher. The position involves both Primary
and Secondary teaching, ranging across the school
during the founding years. As the school evolves,
there will be greater specialisation between Primary
and Secondary focus areas. IT Innovation is a pillar
of the school’s academic approach, a pivot and
place of intersection across learning themes, skills
development, and digital learning. The field of
Computing and IT Innovation ranges across coding,
robotics, artificial intelligence, and programming.
Computing will be offered at IGCSE and A Level.
We are looking for an inspirational teacher who is
keen to further enhance the teaching and learning
in the school. The teacher is expected to contribute
to extra-curricular activities in the field of IT
Innovation.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate exhibits the following
characteristics:
A well-qualified Computing and IT specialist, capable of teaching at both Primary and Secondary levels.
A dedicated, highly motivated teacher, capable of inspiring students.
A full working knowledge of the English National Curriculum and an ability and aspiration to attain the highest standards.
Experience of working with English Language Learners (ELL) or a desire to broaden his / her experience and skills in EAL teaching and
learning strategies.
A flexible approach to working within the school curriculum and structures.
An appreciation of the value of the extra- curricular dimension in developing the potential of students.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive approach to professional development, particularly in the areas of Computing/ IT Innovation and EAL.
Internationally minded.
Interested in and respectful of Chinese
culture, language, and society.
The ability to work within and apply all school policies.
Child Safeguarding:
Attend in-house Child Safeguarding programmes.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students in the school.

Police clearance and International Child Protection Certificate (ICPC).
Formal proof of identity with photo ID (Original Driving License / Passport).
2 signed, confidential references (one of which must be from the candidate’s current headteacher) before the start of contract.
