POSITION TITLE: Homeroom Teacher in ES (English)

REPORTS TO: English Language Curriculum Coordinator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Elementary Homeroom Teacher (English) works closely with English Language Curriculum

Coordinator to support in the development and implementation of the English Language

Program at 3e Elementary.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Tertiary qualification in a school environment or associated area, along with a minimum of

two (2) years previous experience in teaching.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity towards students, families

and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds

• The ability to prioritize, plan and manage time in order to meet the expectations of a

busy role

• The ability to work autonomously in keeping with mission and philosophy of the

school and report information and request advice as and when appropriate

• Ability to work collaboratively, understanding and considering the pressures and

unpredictability of a vibrant school environment

• A passion for whole child development and meaningful child centered education

• Flexibility, approachability and a problem-solving attitude Solid bilingual (Chinese and

English) verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to adhere to school policies, rules, regulations and expectations

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Contemporary teaching and learning theories and practices

• Collaborative planning, teaching and assessment

• Appropriate technologies to enhance learning on campus, online setting

• Knowledge of and a familiarity with a broad range of curricula

• Facilitate horizontal and vertical articulation in the curriculum

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

All school employees have responsibility for supervising students and assisting in

maintaining a safe and happy learning environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in education or relevant field and teacher accreditation
