Job Description

Approved by the Zhejiang Provincial Government, NBIS is located in Ningbo National High-Tech Zone. It recruits children of foreign nationals legally residing in China, residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, China legally residing in Zhejiang Province, and children of Chinese citizens legally residing abroad, delivering the pure Cambridge International Curriculum.
Founded in 2005, the school has now been in operation for 20 years, growing from a fledgling operation with just 6 students, two teachers and a principal, to the current vibrant learning community of about 500 students from nearly 50 countries and regions with teaching staff recruited from around the world. The school now aspires to become a leader in international education in Zhejiang Province.

Requirements

Essentials:

• The teacher will hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification in English Language and Literature or equivalent.
• First language speaker of English, or near fluent in English..
• The teacher will have at least 2 years’ successful teaching at Secondary School Level (students aged 11-18) and be competent to teach across this age range, including the preparation of students for external examination at university entrance level.
• The teacher will have the relevant knowledge, experience and skill to support the effective delivery of the curriculum and to ensure that students make progress in their knowledge, understanding and execution of creativity in different forms.
• The teacher will plan, deliver, assess and report student activity 
• The teacher will be able to establish a positive rapport with the students and become their coach and mentor as they seek to fulfil their creative aspirations.
• As a member of the Secondary Teaching Team, the teacher will contribute to school events, work collaboratively with colleagues, and be accountable to the Head of English, the Head of Secondary, and finally, the International Principal.


Preferences:

• Familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum.
• Experience in international schools.
• Experience in China.
