Shanghai Arete Bilingual School is a private boarding school serving students from

Kindergarten/Preschool through Grade 12. Our mission is to integrate the best of Eastern and Western

Job Description

1. Design and deliver rigorous, engaging, and creative art lessons for students in Grades 5-8.

2. Maintain a teaching load of approximately 18 class periods per week.

3. Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and

creativity.

4. Assess student work and progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous artistic growth.

5. Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school-wide art events or

projects.

6. Collaborate effectively with Chinese teaching staff and school administration to align with the school's

educational goals and mission.

 Master's degree or higher in Art, Fashion Design, or a closely related field.

 A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in art or fashion design at the middle school/secondary level.

 Strong professional background and practical skills in both general art and fashion design.

 Native or near-native English proficiency is required for teaching; basic Mandarin Chinese communication

skills are a strong advantage.

 Excellent communication, intercultural collaboration skills, and a strong professional work ethic.

 A passion for art education and a genuine enthusiasm for working with adolescent students.

Monthly Salary Range: RMB 20,000 - 25,000 (pre-tax).
