Shanghai Arete Bilingual School is a private boarding school serving students from

Kindergarten/Preschool through Grade 12. Our mission is to integrate the best of Eastern and Western

Job Description

1. Design and deliver rigorous, engaging, and creative art lessons for students in Grades 5-8.

2. Maintain a teaching load of approximately 18 class periods per week.

3. Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and

creativity.

4. Assess student work and progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous artistic growth.

5. Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school-wide art events or

projects.

6. Collaborate effectively with Chinese teaching staff and school administration to align with the school's

educational goals and mission.

1. At least a master's degree, major in art or fashion design

2. At least 2 years of teaching experience in art

3. Some background related to fashion design

4. Fluent in English (fluent in Chinese is preferred)

5. No nationality restrictions

6. Submit a personal art portfolio

7. Teach 5-8 grade junior high school students

8. Start date: August 24, 2026

Salary range: Before tax 25-28K (negotiable for outstanding candidates
