The school is an American high school with a fully American curriculum, based on Common Core Standards, 21st Century Learning Standards, and Next Generation Science Standards. All of students graduate with only an American diploma, and 100% of our graduates in previous years are now studying overseas in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Korea. Many are studying in top 20 and top 50 universities in the US.
JD:
• Understand and/or be open to learning about applying the philosophy and practice of Understanding by Design (UbD) in curriculum development and instruction;
• Be able to teach any of the following subjects: 2-D Visual Arts, Art Portfolio Development (for arts college applications), 3-D Visual Arts (sculpting, mixed media, installations, etc.), and/or Art History
• Apply differentiated instructional strategies in working to meet the learning needs of all students;
Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in arts or education; graduate degree in arts or education (preferred, but not required);
• Teaching certificate from US State preferred but not required;
• Two years of demonstrated successful experience as a teacher;
• Passion and enthusiasm for teaching;
• Strong recommendations from previous supervisors
