About Client
Hong Kong Ngai Lam Education Group is a well-known music education brand in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Focusing on providing quality education for more than 30 years, this group has a set of well-developed, enriching, fun and creative teaching methods.
Assessment systems are offered by the Associated Board of The Royal School of Music (ABRSM), and delivered by experienced and qualified instrumental/vocal music teachers, all of which form a comprehensive music system from the school level to university level.
Academic curriculum is based on Common Core standards in alignment with Chinese national educational standards. Upcoming in the 2020-2021 school year, FIFA has applied to become an IB World School for primary years program (PYP). We offer MAP assessment three times a year, alongside various formative and summative assessment.
Requirements
Educational background preferably required for this position:
1.Holder of Bachelor's Degree or above with Teacher's Certification or Degree in
Education (e.g. PGCE, US states teaching certification in the relevant subject areas)
2.American, British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealander or South African (i.e. Native English speakers) would be considered more desirable
3.A minimum 2 years of teaching experience

4.Contract duration: Starting from one year minimum, and more desirable if you have plans to consider settling in China for two or more years. The school is most interested in retaining teachers for long term.
Points to be further considered:
1.Teaching experience in a multi-cultural environment
2.Ability to collaborate with local Chinese working partners and international working partners, teachers and school staff
3.Capable in developing positive relationship with students and parents
4.Be able to apply constructive and inquisitive approach in teaching students, and assist students learning
5.Experience in teaching ESL in a school environment in your home country or international schools.
6.teaching approach: e.g. using inquiry, problem solving and discussion to help students think like mathematicians and develop deep conceptual understanding.
7.inquiry approach preferred to cover science and math teaching materials
8.Have up-to-date knowledge of an objectives based curriculum at the primary school level
9.Competent in differentiating and identifying students various needs and provide a catering and fluid educational approach
10.Acquiring skills in developing school curriculum and program further in collaboration with other teachers and staff
11.Showing commitment and self-initiation towards continual professional development
12.Having keenness or holding open-mindedness to Asian/Chinese culture and customs in the workplace
13.Teaching experience in environment with American curriculum is an advantage, but not essential
14.Further desirable if applicant could show us with a cultivated background with professional code of conduct e.g. proper dress code, neatness and punctuality
15.Candidates will be more considered with positive outlook in life and healthy in physical condition in general
