Teaching
and Education:
1. To be responsible as a kindergarten homeroom teacher staying
with the kids the whole day during working time as requested;
2. To plan and teach lessons required for the kindergarten homeroom teacher such as ELA, Math, Science, Centers, etc.; to conduct
circle time every day according to the daily schedule to cultivate a
positive classroom culture and good behaviors;
3. To follow school’s teaching
plan, and develop your own class and lesson plans, independent learning exercises,
curricula, assessments, and methods that cater to the needs of the individual
child;
4. To observe and assess each child’s interest and language
learning needs,
and offer individual help;
5. To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and
differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum
area as appropriate; to make (and/or help to make) English materials for the
class;
6. To change books in the classroom English Library on a regular basis so
all books are relevant to the topics learned and practiced in the classroom;
7. To be responsible for making, distributing and correcting student’s
homework daily, and give clear instructions and support when necessary;
8. To be responsible for the
classroom and to encourage and support the use of ICT in lessons (pay attention
to the screen time) and monitor the classes’ work and assessment grades and
keep student achievement records;
9. To be involved with other
aspects of school life associated with the subject, such as organizing
appropriate field trips, school event, festivals and educational visits;
10. To write reports and enter
assessment grades when required;
11. To help cover classes in the
event of a colleague’s extended absence.
Duties
as a member of the classroom teaching team:
12. To
help with classroom decoration;
13. To
create and maintain a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment where
all children feel safe and valued;
14. To cooperate with classroom
teaching team in housekeeping arrangements such as meal preparation, classroom
cleaning, nap time, playground, children’s toilet assistance, etc;
15. To help keep track of sick or
injured children, help fill out incident reports and communicate with parents
when necessary;
16. To discuss with the Chinese lead teacher about the reasonable planning
time.
Communication:
17. Establish rapport and building
relationships with students based on trust.
18. Take part in communication with parents, including preparing weekly newsletters
and organizing parent-teacher meetings.
19. Attend and contribute in
meetings, training seminars and school events as requested.
Function
as part of a school team:
20. Participate in weekly
staff/team meetings, staff development and school events during work hours;
21. Keep any information related to students and their
families confidential;
22. Be professional and positive
while dealings with students and parents;
23. Support and work with the
administrative support staff when appropriate;
24. Assist with any other duties
assigned by the school.
Requirements
- Excellent speaking and writing proficiency in English
- Bachelor degree or above, major in education preferred
- 2+ years of full-time teaching experience OR teaching certification (e.g.,TEFL/TESOL, PGCE/State Teaching License), experience at kindergartens preferred
- Currently in China holding Z visa
Benefits
1. SALARY
The faculty will receive at least 30,000 RMB gross salary
each month. The salary is structured as 4 parts including basic salary,
position allowance, housing allowance and responsibilities allowance (If no Red
Events occurred or not at winter or summer holidays, the responsibility
allowance would be paid fully). The salary will be paid monthly by 12 months in RMB.
2. HEALTH INSURANCE
The kindergarten will pay up to 20,000 RMB per
year per faculty of the Health Insurance which is a worldwide non-USA coverage.
3. HOUSING ALLOWANCE
Housing (1-bedroom and 2-bedroom) will be
provided on campus. If the faculty chooses to stay off campus, he/she will get 2,000 RMB
(before tax) per month of housing allowance as part of the monthly salary. If
live on campus, 2,000 RMB (before tax) will be deducted from the salary then.
4. FREE CHILD EDUCATION
The faculty’s kids (up to 2) enjoy free
tuition for attending the School during the employment, but the uniform, meals, some
activities fee is exclusive. If the faculty gives up the free child education
benefit, there won’t be any monetary reimbursement.
5. VISA
The kindergarten
will help with the faculty’s visa processing.
6. SUMMER/WINTER HOLIDAYS
4 weeks respectively for summer and winter holidays
7. SICK DAYS/PERSONAL DAYS
5 emergency leaves are provided each school year.
8. Round trip tickets
It is set for faculty who completed one-year
contract and renew for the second year (no
more than 10,000 RMB per year).
9. Free AMS training
Free AMS training (registration fee and textbook/material
are excluded) provided, but the faculty is required to work for the
kindergarten at least 3 years after then. If less than 3 years, the training
fee needs to be paid back.
