Learning Support Assistant Teacher

Learning Support Assistant Teacher is to:

- To support students with learning needs in classrooms or in small group classes;

- to work alongside the class teacher when supporting identified students in classroom settings;

- to prepare for learning inside the classroom – along with the class teacher;

- to plan and prepare for learning of individual children or small group of children in consultation with the JS Learning Support Coordinator;

- to be involved in the assessment of children in their care;

- to maintain discipline in the manner agreed and set out in the policy;

- to attend staff meeting as required for Junior School as a whole, with year group colleagues and for subject specific meetings;

- to attend College events when directed by the Head of Junior School;

- to take part in the INSET programme in Junior School when directed by the Head of Junior School;

- to undertake supervisory duties in the playground as directed by the Deputy Head of Junior School;

- to participate in the extra-curricular life of the pupils by leading, organizing or being involved in extra-curricular activities for at least one hour a week in the Junior School;

- to cover bus monitor relief duties when directed by the Head of Junior School;

- to carry out other duties, as may be reasonably requested by the Head of Junior School.

-Bachelor’s degree or above (preferred related majors);

-Related certificates from national education system;

-Native English speaker or non-native speaker;

-AP/A-level/IB teaching experience preferred;

-Clean criminal background check;

-Outgoing, professional and passionate in teaching students.
