Position components:
There are 5 essential expectations tied to the role of Preschool Teacher:
1. An image of a strong and capable child
Everything the teacher will do in the course of a school day will reflect an image of a strong
and capable child. The teacher will be asked to revisit and explain their work based on this
fundamental belief.
Teachers will maintain the highest standards of care, child protection and safeguarding at all
times by upholding the 3Ps: Protection, Provision and Participation as outlined in UN
Convention on the Rights of the Child
2. Growth mindset
The teacher will participate in professional growth that addresses and challenges their own
self-belief. The ability to embrace new ideas- different truths- and move out of their comfort
zone will be integral to the position. Teachers will commit to collaborating regularly with
peers in order to understand and extend their own, and children’s theories, thoughts, ideas
and questions.
3. The importance of the environment and provision.
The teacher will show an avid interest in setting up both the indoor and outdoor
environment. Teachers will have the ability, or growing interest to work with a fluid
environment, changing the provision in response to children’s interests. The classroom set-up
will reflect the philosophy of the overall preschool and teachers will ensure it is ordered
(allowing for self- access), inviting and beautiful.
4. Pedagogical knowledge
Teachers will show an avid interest in practicing in an authentically responsive way. Teachers
will make their pedagogical knowledge visible through documentation via learning stories,
reflective journals, transcribing scholars’ work, observations and narratives. They will use
technology as a tool for learning, organizing and allowing scholars to gain deeper insights
into learning projects.
5. Relationships
Teachers will understand the importance of building authentic relationships with parents who
are a child’s first teachers. Teachers will be expected to communicate with children,
colleagues, families and the wider community using a strengths based approach.
Requirements
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree and hold teaching credentials(QTS/PGCE/SACE/Registration); International teaching experience in early years
is an advantage. Recent teacher graduates may apply, as placements will be counted towards
experience.

Benefits
Basic salary: ¥23K-33K/month before tax for licensed teacher;
Housing allowance: Single: 5K/month;
Tuition fee: up to two children;
Relocation fee(reimbursement): Oversea: ¥8000/month; Domestic: ¥4000/month;
Health Insurance;
Flight allowance: up to ¥12000 upon the completion of the contract;
Visa sponsorship
