Summary/Objective
The education and continuing education program manager plans and implements education
strategies for departments/professional groups within the organization. The position ensures
compliance requirements are met, adheres to program guidelines, and develop, manages
and monitors special topic programs.
Essential Functions

Assists the director/vice principal with the development of an internal education program for continuing education needs and requirements.
Implements and recommends programs, goals and objectives for education programs.
Plans, develops, manages and evaluates staff, manages class coverage as needed, assist in scheduling.
Assists the director in reviewing, evaluating and reporting on continuing education programs.
Ensures quality control of consistency that required components of education programs meet the accreditation standards or other compliance requirements.
Ensures quality control of compliance in documentation for all certified activities.
Manages and evaluates vendors and consultants as they relate to continuing education services.
Acts as a liaison to other departments regarding continuing education requirements and inquiries.
Conducts onsite review of education programs and industry-supported meetings.
Establish a routine schedule of school visits to monitor overall school operations, record keeping, collection of statistics and tracking forms, classroom size, and attendance, and to undertake teacher observations, lesson plan design, and implementation.
Approve of and support to school initiated activities such as festivals, sporting events, scholastic competitions, etc. when possible.
Participate in the general teacher screening tests and the selection of teachers.
Participate in the identification of likely candidates for promotion and the interviewing processes and final selection.
