Position Name: Preschool Homeroom Teacher

Supervisor: Director of the Kindergarten

Job Descriptions:

1.To be responsible as a preschool homeroom teacher staying with the kids the whole day during working time as requested;

2.To teach lessons required for the preschool homeroom teacher such as English; Conduct circle time lessons every day according to the daily schedule.

3.Determine each student's individual language learning needs. Plan individual work for every child with the objective that every child participates in circle time and individual or small group lessons daily. Accompany the children to work together during Montessori working hours.

4.Change books in the classroom English Library on a regular basis so all books are relevant to the material learned and practiced in the classroom.

5.To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate; Make available English materials in the classroom English area. Help in material making for the lass when the language medium is English to ensure that no language mistakes are made.

6.To co work with Chinese homeroom teacher for the decorations based on topic;

7.To be involved with other aspects of school life associated with the subject, such as organising appropriate field trips and educational visits;

8.To assist the department with developing Schemes of Work, department development plan and implementation;

9.Cooperate with classroom teaching team in housekeeping arrangements such as meal preparation, classroom cleaning, nap time, playground, childrens toilet assistance, etc.

10.Help keep track of sick or injured children, help fill out incident reports and communicate with parents when necessary.

11.To be responsible for the classroom and to encourage and support the use of ICT in lessons and monitor the classes work and assessment grades and keep student achievement records;

12.Help cover classes in the event of a colleagues extended absence

13.To take intervention actions when assessment and report grades identify a cause of concern regarding a students progress in your class;

14.To write reports and enter assessment grades when required;

15.To support and work with the administrative support staff where appropriate;

16.To assist the department with the analysis of examination results when requested and to seek out and share teaching resources with colleagues;

17.To attend parents meetings and other school events as directed by the management; Attend and contribute in meetings and training seminars as requested.

18.To offer at least one extra-curricular activity if possible to the students and be committed to the ideal of a holistic education for all;

19.To assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs as may be reasonably requested by the management












Requirements


1. Native English speaker.
2. Bachelor's Degree above.
3. At least three years of experience in the same position.
4. Possession of a nationally recognized teaching qualification, such as a US Teaching License, QTS, SACE, etc.
